Moments

I guess in the great scheme of things

We’re still pretty young

I figure they’d just label it

Fooling about

But you won’t hear me complaining

Cos’ I think it kinda fun

Oh please darling

Please just stick around

You and me girl

We’ve got something good

Oh it may not be much

But I know that it could

So hold my arms and I’ll hold your body tightly

Let’s just live the moments

Lets just fade away

Leave our heads behind

We will only stay

Fighting our own lives

For I thought that I saw a side of you

Stand bolder than your peers

Thought that I saw strength

Ignite from previous tears

I don’t know what will come of this

Oh it could be nothing now

But I hope I don’t miss our final kiss

No, let’s not miss a thing

When we lay on the grass and we sing the stars

I hope you remember my name

Come on see fear has reason

Try not to overthink

The strides we make oh girl

Are only at the brink

You and me girl

We’ve got something good

(Come on see fear has reason

Try not to overthink)

It may not be much

But I know that it could

(The strides we make oh girl

Are only at the brink)

So hold my arms and I’ll hold your body tightly

This is what we wanted

No need to complicate

So let’s just live the moments

Nostalgia

Well I walked into your joke

When I posed for that lens that time

In that context it was fun

Oh those days we looked so young

Oblivious to styles

That walk that took us miles

Could hardly take the weight

So I climbed onto your back

Well I fell into your arms

At your attempt to rise

Whilst my neck took the fall

It didn’t matter to me at all

Store it in the bank, Store it in the bank

Save it there for later years

Time when you will laugh, Times when you will blush

At the foolish boy you once were

For times when you’ve matured, you can see how you progressed

If you store it in all in lens

You can hold your memories close to your chest

Bones met the flesh

Teeth met the gap

Now there’s truth behind this humour

That will one day overlap

That lost, loved relative

The way he used to speak

Albeit stubborn and vague

You’ll miss it when his gone.

Store it in the bank, Store it in the bank

Save it there for later years

Time when you will laugh, Times when you will blush

At the foolish boy you once were

For times when you’ve matured, you can see how you progressed

If you store it in all in lens

You can hold your memories close to your chest

Ooooooh,

Ooooooh,

Store it in a bank, store it in a bank

Save it there for later.

Store it in a lens, store it in a lens

Store it in a lens

Store it in a bank, store it in a bank

Save it there for later.

Store it in a lens, store it in a lens

Store it in a lens

Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm

Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm

Footprints in snow

Patterns from your soul
Wash angels from floor
Your skin is so pure

Drew breath from your lung
Drew steam from your tongue
My fingers hide your cheeks
They always were so blood lust

But I’m just worrying about those little things
That when in love, can have the harshest of stings
Everyone is everyone’s own genius

You comfort me
Don’t worry
It’ll be fine
You took my hand
We drew a line
Don’t panic
We’ll see through
We watched the snow cloud over

And she says, don’t worry
It’ll be fine
Take my hand to the snow and we’ll draw a line
And she says, don’t panic,
For we’ll see it through
Watch the snow cloud over
Me and you

There’s one tree in our forest
That has grown it’s place in our heart
There’s a box of ink full of letters
Documentary our start

But I’m just worrying about those little things
That when in love, can have the harshest of stings
Because everyone is everyone’s own genius

Everyone is their own genius
Rationalize and justify our own motives

They were cold nights
Wrapped up in your blanket
That you’d tuck under your arms
So I could still reach your lips
I knew that this was the best it’d be
I’d reached the perfect peak that I’d ever see
So I could greet pearly gates with a smile on my face
And I would no regrets and desire no escape
Cos’ I’ve got you in my arms
My head on the tree
That even through the snow
Would look carefully over me.

End Is Nigh

Driving through the summer’s sun, driving through the winter's cool

Driving on the autumn leaves, I guess I’m just anybody’s fool

But he lived with a girl for 28 years

Now she can't stand his presence at his porch

He’s says it’s alright, oh it’s ok
I’ll just let everything fade away because the end is nigh
All my days, my eyes are bleeding
And from his lips, he drew a sigh;
He says the end is nigh

Now he cries at her hands and waits for her tears
But her tears will not come because she’s just too bold

He’s says it’s alright, it’s ok
I’ll just let everything fade away
cos’ the end is nigh

All my days, my eyes are bleeding
And from his lips, he drew a sigh;
He says the end is nigh

Come on boy,
You give it all back
Come on boy,
Put up a fight

All my days, my eyes are bleeding
And from his lips, he drew a sigh;
He says the end is nigh

Jokes

Well it started off, just a couple of jokes

Just you and me sat at a bar

The owner said your night here’s over please go far

So we downed the last of our pints

And headed off to the streets

You clenched my hand and I gave you our first kiss

Well unnatural light,

Guided us through all the night

Past skyscrapers and cars

We kept walking till we found a boulder

Rest your ear upon my shoulder

Well I’m feeling pretty tired right now

She said I ain’t for no future,

She said I am who I am

She said I’m far too bloody young to have any kind of plans

Well you sure can miss a if you close your eyes for a second at all

So dig deep and see where you fall

Well our dreams cut short by a crackhead

Falling into our laps

He looks in my eyes and asks me for a lighter

So we start walking after letting him down

Decide we want to go back into town

We are ready for our first dance

Well it ain’t no world war jitterbug

No it’s just snobs in a shitty club

But we figure there’s enough booze

Two hours later and our hair is sweaty

You’re an arm length away so this may sound petty

But I see the way they look at you

She said I ain’t for no changing

She said I’ll stay as I am

She said I’m far too bloody drunk to have any kind of man

Well you sure can miss a lot if you close your eyes for a second at all

So dig deep and see where you fall

Well the lights go on

It’s four o’clock and everyone's a mess

There’s that one guy in the corner still trying to find his kiss

I can’t find you in the corner in of my sight

I’ve looked left and I’ve surely looked right

Well I guess you are gone

So I stumble through my door

At half past 4

And a couple of my mates are up playing games

They’re red eyed to fuck

And Ringo never has much luck

That’s why he’s always low on cash
